Surf Coast Shire
The coastline and adjoining land between Point Impossible and Mt Defiance along the Great Ocean Road, is considered one of the most spectacular in Australia.
Many natural qualities and diverse environments, including cliffs and dunes, significant coastal wetlands, Iron Bark forests, National Estate heathlands and Blue Gums growing down to the sea, combine to create a unique coastline.
Geelong Otway Tourism
Geelong Otway Tourism (GOT) is a regional tourism organisation located in south west Victoria covering the region from Werribee to Geelong, along the Great Ocean Road to Lavers Hill and hinterland areas including Colac and Winchelsea.
GOT is responsible for marketing the region and its main role is to achieve sustainable growth in tourist visitation and expenditure for the region.
Surf Life Saving
Life Saving Victoria (est. 2002) is an initiative of the Royal Life Saving Society Australia Victoria Branch (est. 1904) and Surf Life Saving Victoria (est. 1947).
It has the mission to prevent aquatic related death and injury in all Victorian communities and the vision that all Victorians will learn water safety, swimming and resuscitation, and be provided with safe beaches, water environments and aquatic venues.
Surf Coast Times
The Surf Coast Times, and its partner paper Bellarine Times, has been providing an independant weekly voice for the region for more than a decade.
Based in Torquay, the newspaper prides itself on informing the communtiy about what's happening on the ground level, including educational issues.
